Clayton Heath is a freelance bass trombonist and music educator in Austin, TX. He currently teaches lessons and masterclasses for all low brass instruments in Austin, Burnet, Hays, and Liberty Hill. Clayton also serves as an adjudicator and offers masterclasses, career lectures, and performances to public schools and collegiate programs across the country.
Prior to moving to Texas, he served as the Adjunct Lecturer of Low Brass at Frostburg State University, taught in-home lessons in communities across Pittsburgh, and was a private instructor at Johnstonbaugh's Music Center in Allison Park, PA.
He has taught privately and in public schools in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Maryland, and has served as a staff member for several high school marching programs and the Salvation Army. Current and former students hold top chairs in their school ensembles, have placed in Regional and State Honor Bands and Ensemble competitions, and have been accepted to colleges and universities to pursue music.
Clayton offers virtual and in-school instruction and clinics for all brass instruments, including marching band consultations, performances, coachings, career lectures, and private lessons.
